Batman birthday/star wars cake

posted 28th Jan
SS's 7th birthday party is on Sunday! We're doing a batman themed birthday party with a Star Wars cake. I have allllll kinds of decoration ideas, yellow and black balloons, batman banner, making SS's room into the batcave... I'm having a harder time figuring out what to do for the Star Wars cake. At this point it will be just a big chocolate cake with Star Wars figures on it. Anybody have any cool home made Star Wars cake ideas?

Yea, I usually do fondant on pretty much all of my son's cakes.

Have you worked with it before? I did a big batch of marshmallow fondant over the weekend for some valentine's cupcakes. It was easy peasy and very tasty.
I still have 2 balls of it in the fridge for some additional cupcakes I'm doing for a Friday work meeting.

One more thing, if I'm going to dye it, should I use food coloring gel

You can use either. I personally use standard drop dye.
