I am a self proclaimed TTC nerd. I've come to terms with it. I get kinda obsessed. But I learned something today that totally blew my mind.
Ibuprofen can affect ovulation?! Yup you heard me right. This is news to me!

Turns out that it can interfere with the egg being released!! Just thought I'd share the news!

My one doctor couldn't figure out why my uterus was thinning, which is why it took us so long to TTC

turns out it was my smurfing naproxen she insisted I be on for my fibro...
I stopped naproxen 2/3 months before I got pregnant, and started progesterone... then BOOM pregnant no problem.

( naproxen has ibprofen in it)

I am just shocked by that. Who knew?!?!
The simplest things sometimes. Thankfully I rarely take stuff, but this is vital info.

However, I love naproxen for AF cramps lol.

I pop a couple cvs brand ibuprofens for headache almost every day =\ (I get them pretty regularly)
So now I'm freaking and wondering how many headaches and backaches I had between AF & O.  

I had no idea it interferes with ovulation. I did know it can thin the uterine lining though. I've always steered clear of ibuprofen in the luteal phase but I guess if you're TTC you just shouldn't take it ever. I'm still taking it for period cramps though.

I wouldn't freak out. I would just say if you have problems not ovulating then pull back on that stuff. Plus its not great for liver after al long any how.

Pepcid and Zantac are also ones you should avoid taking while TTC!

I saw someone on CM say it and first thought was BULL. Then I googled....shocked.

Good thing I'm allergic!

Hahahaha I know I have been crazy busy. I am WEEKS behind on my homeowrk and supoosed to be doing it right now but I'd rather be on BG ;) I decided to step up my TTC efforts this cycle!

You're late to the party!  

No, any anti-inflammatory can affect ovulation.
