Pregnant while on mirena?

I'm just curious any moms who have gotten pregnant while on Mirena??

I'm nauseous, exhausted, boobs hurt, muscle pains

I know there's a slim chance of pregnancy with Mirena and my periods are almost impossible to keep track of cause there irregular with the IUD

So I'm just curious -have any of you or anyone you know gotten pregnant while on Mirena??

Not mirena, but the copper IUD i did.

I now have a 4 month old DS.

I didnt get a period for about 5 months, DR let me know it was fine, i wasn't pregnant (we did bloods)... then WHAM... pregnant lol!

Not very common. But I see posts about pregnancy symptoms and IUDs multiple times a day.

I've had mine almost 4 years and never any symptoms or problems. This is a first for me that's why I thought I'd run it by you girls. Should I stop being silly and just test ?

How long does the mirena last before needing a replacement one?

yeah... I got positive test at 5 weeks and 5 days...

Went to ER, they did ultrasound, mirena was in place, and my lil Maksi poo was right above...

it lasts 5 years.

i got preg on it but aborted, they said it would have been a high risk preg tho.

I've been contemplating it for 2 weeks now

I'm kind of scared to I have an incredible S/o whos an amazing dad to his two kids and treats my daughter like one of his own but unfortunately is dead set on not having anymore

So I'm excited to know but freaked out all at the same time

Also I breast fed my daughter for 15 months (she's now almost 4) and for a long time I could still excret milk . That stopped about a year ago but now I have what looks like colostrum (i know its close to impossible) back again

Relactation isn't near impossible. In know doulas that lactate when they attend births, even years after breastfeeding their own babies. I know someone now that just got pregnant on an IUD (not positive if it is Mirena). I know it will lead to a high risk pregnancy. Good luck!

I relactated on Mirena. I also had all those symptoms on it too. Never got pregnant but felt like it 24/7. It was miserable and I had it removed after 6 months.

Got pregnant while on Mirena. They couldn't find it either. I started having the pregnancy signs so i took a test and sure enough i was positive. They done 2 ultrasounds on me and never could find the IUD. I also ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks with the baby. ( it would have been my third) Then got pregnant again immediately after, like the next month, due April 8th with a baby girl 30 weeks along today..
