Quoting Manda♥Bella:" How do you mean the endo was taken care of? My gyno told me its not possible to remove the displaced cells...."
My uterus was completely removed, and my appendix was removed..thus taking care of those cells..but there was places that had endo tissue that was cauterized off. I think that's what they did, as far as I know, I don't think there were any other cells implanted to other parts of my body.
Before I was told I had endometriosis years ago, but then I had my uterus removed and was told it wasn't endo but adenomyosis. I'm also very confused because I do remember the doctor talking about the fact that my uterus was fused to the abdominal wall.wouldn't that be outside of my uterus and not inside? My chart says adenomyosis though, and not endo, which was also why this new doctor scheduled the laparoscopic diagnostic. He was certain it was my appendix and he was right, but the doctor that did my hysterectomy told me that everything looked great. So those implants had to be there before my hysterectomy, since the cells come from the uterus right? So when I had my lap done with the doctor before that in 09ish, he never mentioned anything about it returning. I guess, I just figured regardless of what it was, after 2 years of not a lot of pain except for periods, then a hysterectomy. I was done with it. I don't understand why he didn't talk to me about treatment. This is the same doctor that said my pain was mostly from bladder infections/uti's and would prescribe me antibiotic after antibiotic. (He was also put on suspension for malpractice).
