When I have my repeat section...
posted 27th Jan
I am gonna post on here about how I got my spinal and IV meds.
I mean if someone can post about them going all natural with no meds or anything what makes it different if I had meds. The end you still get a healthy baby.
(Sorry if this is dumb...I am on hospital bedrest and it kinda blows. Plus I keep coming across I went natural threads and it kinda makes me feel like a wimp but I have no choice in the c section with this damn pre-e)
Soooo who wants to talk!?

Thanks! We are praying to keep it under control and keep him in till at least 34 weeks! I can *maybe* go home tomorrow!

I think I wrote all about the spinal and pain meds in my labor story (had emergency c-section)
Sorry about bed rest, mama. I'm right there with you. I'm hoping to go home tomorrow, but if there still isn't enough fluid I'll be staying.

I tried not to use much meds when I had my emergency c section with my youngest but omg that pain is terrible!
Thanks! What happened? Hopefully you can go home also! Being in a hospital is nooooo fun!

With my first, I got two different epi's (they kept messing up) and then a spinal block because I had to get a c section. Those all natural threads make me feel like crap too. I have to get another c section this time also, so definitely not drug free.

Right? Like great for you but I don't feel it makes you anymore special. We all raise little people that's pretty special right? I wanted a home birth so bad but with my history of pre-e its not even an option and c section is the safest choice since it sets on so fast(hence the bedrest).
If it weren't for me taking the meds as they were prescribed I don't think my recovery would have been as good.

Same here. I recovered with Tylenol after my first cs. I expected an easy recovery the second time around, but the pain was way worse. Pretty sure because I labored all night before.
Placental insufficiency. My baby isn't getting enough nutrients and oxygen so she's falling behind in growth and my amniotic fluid index is low. We knew this would happen. I have a clotting disorder that causes it.

Even if I didn't have to have a c section, I don't think I could go drug free. I was in labor for almost 13 hours before I got my section, and I was pretty much screaming for meds lol. No, I don't think anyone is any better for going all natural. I've seen some pretty self righteous stuff from a couple people about that.

Awwwww I am sorry momma! That does not sound fun at all.

All natural threads shouldn't make you feel like crap! It's your choice how you want to labour (well, I know YOU don't have a choice I'm just saying in general). You better not feel bad when I post mine lol. Who knows, maybe I won't even go all natural *shrug* Pre-e sucks

Yeah my friend had 3 of her five at home with nothing but she always tells me that she looks up to me for being able to be on bedrest in a hospital and so on. It's silly but hey I love her! Lol

Yours is gonna make me feel the worst!
Lol jk! I can usually just brush it off and get over it but today I am just super bummed out about all of this.
I ordered extra fries for dinner so my kiddos and I could at least have dinner together but they had to leave before it got here so I saw the plate of fries and just burst into tears. My nurse actually walked in and just hugged me. She is pretty much awesome! I think all of it is just now hitting me and I keep thinking "I am only 31 weeks I don't need to be here I should be at home planning my shower and enjoying time with my kids. Not here having to listen to the new babies cries and the oohs and awwww of family members :-("
