re: drug seeking after giving birth?

Also I had a medicated hospital birth the first time. No pain meds after. My second was a home birth and holy smurf the after pains for weeks were so intense I wish I had something more than Tylenol

That sucks! I'd much rather have nurses trying to give me pain meds when I didn't want them than to have them with hold them when I really needed them.

I totally agree! Wait until #3

The cramps would go all the way down to my knees when I breastfed and I would just cry and cry and cry.

yeah i was pretty smurfing pissed. thank god i never had that nurse again.

oh and my friend had her first daughter january 2011 and she ripped and tore ALOT during the birth... the doctor wasn't going to send her home with any meds and she practically had to beg for some while she was there.

It's different when you're actually in pain too.

I just had it IV a few days ago (I had ovary surgery) and I was freaking itching my face off!! I told them that I did not want it anymore!
