re: Glucose Test

Getting mine done on my birthday.
They said i had to be tested before 28 weeks.
I'm afraid of my results too.

Goodluck! Hope you don't have to do it twice like I did. The first results they got were way to high but the second was fine I swear the drink is so gross never drank lemonade the same again lol

They have lemonade?! I've had a craving for lemonade for the past week now. I can't get enough of it! But I don't think I'll be drinking that flavor. Don't wanna scar myself. lol

Maybe I'll do the fruit punch then. Everyone always says how nasty they are, but I really like sugary stuff, so maybe I'll be fine. You're really the only person I've ever heard say it wasn't gross. lol

Shame on your Drs office for making you fast and not making an appointment until later in the day!!! I about died when I had to fast and my 3 hour glucose test was at 8:30 in the morning. But I couldn't eat until it was all over around 12-12:30 that afternoon 
I didn't have to fast for my 1 hour glucose test though. My appt was at 9AM and they told me to "eat like normal" but NO way in hell was I going to eat my normal bowl of cereal before a glucose test. LOL But I did have a piece of toast and i still failed  I am now 34 weeks and have GD 
There are tons of factors to determine if you'll have it or not. But it really all depends on YOU. I have NO history of diabetes in my family but I got it  I was overweight before pregnancy which is also a factor..so who knows?

Good luck!! It's totally manageable and doable but you will have to change eating habits 

I did a two hour test. I'm not sure why though. But that drink was NOT bad. I had the orange drink. Tasted like kool aid, but I put alot of sugar in my kool aid. lol. I felt drunk though. Hopefully it's because I was hungry and tired though. But he should have the results soon and he will call if my results are not normal.

If you like sugar it probably won't taste bad. I was expecting the worst. The lady told me to drink it within 5 minutes, I tried it and it was gone in one. lol

The glucose test drink tastes like very sweet lemonade, I wish they had different flavours then I would have chose a flavour I never drink lol

The one I had tasted like a warm flat Sunkist. Absolutely disgusting!
