COCKROACHES!!

:'( MY APARTMENT HAS THEM, AND I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE I CAN DO!!!!!!! I spray once a week, keep my place clean, dont leave out food   i want them gone but my landlord wont pay for the bomb i need to move and get DD outta here but we just cant get into housing as fast as we need    

do you have other apartments that are right next to you? it could be the other apartments that have them and they are migrating to your place.... i'd look into having the landlord check out any other units if the place has other units.

Boric acid...its a powder, like $2 at walmart in the bug chemical section. It doesn't kill them all instantly but they take it back with them to the rest of their friends. By 2 wks we didn't see them anymore. Worked better than the pest guys coming.

Can't do jack smurf. If it's an apartment the ones next to you have it, they will just run there for a few days then come back when it's safe. I had to just move the smurf out. I packed everything in tupperware, when I moved, i put them in the garage at the new place, opened them all and set off a bug bomb to make sure I didn't bring any with me.

There is a 6 hour bomb they make. I personally don't have that issue but my SIL did and she bombed and went to a friend's for 6 hours because she was pregnant and has a 1 year old. Look into it, they aren't expensive.

I feel your pain, OP. We had a brown recluse spider infestation at our apartment and our landlords wouldn't do anything about it and those smurfers are extremely poisonous. Didn't even give a smurf we had a one month old. Worst part is brown recluses don't have to eat for 6 months at a time, and they will infest a place even if it's the epitome of clean. We had to hire an exterminator out of our pocket and pay them to come once a month and lay all kinds of traps and spray. We still had them but at least our bed was surrounded by sticky traps so we didn't have to worry about getting bitten in our sleep. I would move the first chance you get and throw away anything you can't guarantee isn't infested. My sister had to just leave everything she owned because they got inside her computer, her monitor, everywhere. She just left everything and started over.

i would, but it's not me that has them its the other apartments   i cant force them to do anything. The people down stairs are SO dirty it's just gross! i honestly just saw one not even an hour ago. tried to kill it but it ran under something!

Mix boric acid with cocoa powder. Works like a charm. Just dust with it where there is high roach traffic.

Oh no! Can you call the Housing department and make a complaint that the landlord is being neglectful of their property?
