It's marketed as a kids version of an adult tablet, ie fake tablet.

My point is you crap on people that buy iPads but you bought a tablet too.

I just don't see the point in a child having an adult's device. A child should have a child appropriate device like that. That's just how I see it..

And you back up this point by saying kids need to play outside more?
Do you not see your logic fail?

And who says an ipad or ipod cannot be a childs device. There are plenty of things markets for children (even toddlers) that use their ipad or ipods.

I get my child an innotab (which he had when he was 3) and he would be bored of it within 2 seconds.

The only real difference is the kid version will be out grown in a few years while the "adult" version will remain useful.

The "young" ones can remain useful for quite awhile. My oldest is 8, in 2nd grade and they still have learning apps/games for her on the leap pads for her grade level.

I researched the games on the kid versions but my oldest son was too old to find them fun or to really learn anything from them, so I started looking at the iPads.

There's one on the innotab my daughter really likes and takes some problem solving. You are a drop of water and you have to maneuver a maze by evaporation yourself, absorbing yourself into a sponge or freezing yourself. Another used math to get through a series of levels. She really liked them both.
