So... The kid version of the tablet is some how less electronic than the iPad is?
I'm confused, I get your argument about kids needing to be outside but A. Who says they aren't? Just bc they own an iPad doesn't mean they use it all the time.B argument invalid since you bought your kids a Fake tablet.

You are making an assumption that the kids are on the electronics instead of outside playing though. My children play outside daily. My daughter gets her iPad or leappad in the car, when are at the doctors, while her sister is napping, on the airplane. Doesnt mean she is glued to it some days those things never even get touched.

I don't see anything wrong with the fact that it's expensive, if you can buy an ipad for your young child then whatever, do what you want. But it's really not good for a toddler and little kid to be looking at screens all day. tv, ipads, ipods. It's so damaging to their social skills, and imagination. Let them play outside, or with toys, or something. Make him ride a bike.

again no one said the kid was on it all day it was an assumption.

No, it's just more age appropriate I think. My girls use their aunts Ipad's at her house and even with controls they can still get on a lot of things they shouldn't. At least age appropriate devices can't. Again, just MY opinion! And it's not a fake tablet, it's a freaking age appropriate game that toddlers should be playing with.

I guess I shouldn't say ALL kids play with them non stop but MOST parents these days just hand their kid a control or remote and leave them alone. What happened to sitting at a table and teaching your kids their numbers and alphabets rather than handing them a hand held game? Maybe it's just how I've seen people raising, or lack of, their kids lately.

LOL My son has significant delays in speech and fine motor. He has a leap pad and I have several apps specifically designed to help him with both. Being outside won't help with fine motor or speech, it's too cold for fine motor exercises anyways. His sisters use the same apps and give them lots of extra practice. My oldest has a $50 android tablet that helps her with forming her letters and has books downloaded to it. Anyone who thinks a tablet is just fluffy games is stupid and very uninformed.

You can lock kids out of apps. I use an iPad everyday in the classroom I work in and we have a kid lock on it

My son gets a lot of exercise, he goes to school, Tae Kwon Do and gets time to play outside to ride a bike/scooter, run around...I don't get why assuming that because he has an iPad he isn't active. He also gets time for arts and craft and bunch of other stuff....
