Thrush??

Just noticed today that my 7 month old has white spots on her top lip and starting on her bottom.. What is the best way to get rid of it, do i have to take her to the doctor's or no... I also breastfeed and i know i will have to sterilize all her toys and pacifiers. Any advice would be helpful, this is my 4th kid and none of my others ever got it

Gentian Violet is pretty amazing for thrush. You can find it at walgreens or cvs typically. It's insanely messy though so use with caution! haha

My daughter had to get meds from the doc. I just made a quick call. I got it from her but salt water rinse worked for me. It's very uncomfortable.

Gentian Violet will turn your babys mouth purple. My sister had to use it for her son and I remember him having a purple mouth for quite a while. I didn't see but she said it turned her nipples purple too!
I can't see it so I don't know for sure... but are you sure it isn't just a blister on her lip? Some times when a baby breastfeeds often they get a little blister.

no dont think its blisters her tounge has white on it and her lip has white spots all over the top inside

Yup. Baby's mouth and your nipples will be purple for a bit. Wasn't really a big deal for us. I just make sure to keep a bib on Ethan so he didn't get any on his clothes.
