re: made up or Newer names

She was in her late 70's and apparently it was her great-grandmother's name, who was from somewhere in Africa. I like to ask people about their unusual names, although I didn't bother to ask one lady about how she got named Patchouli Blossom. There was a note in her chart that she preferred to be called Grace. LOL

My DH is generally not fond of greek names but I love them. We do have Persephone on our girl list.

Same with mine. My girl list is Calypso, Ophelia, Ariadne, Persephone, and Athena though. He fortunately likes Calypso because it is going to be our first girl name and he has no say since he insisted our son be named after him against my wishes.

Aurora isn't made up but it is beautiful and rarely used. My cousin's name is Leanna, and her mom made it. Her grandmother's middle names are Lee and Anna so she just combined them.

Oooh, I love Caspian! It's going on my boy list. I know DF will veto it though. LOL

Our girl names are Calypso Joy and Ophelia Hope. No middle names paired with the others though. To me Ophelia Hope sounds so classic and elegant.

my cousin's son's name is cyprian (idk if it's made up, but he's the only one i've ever heard of with that name) and a former coworker of mine made up her daughter's name--noela.

Caspian is our top boy name for our next. I think Caspian and Alistair are a great sibset. I love Ophelia, DH doesn't though.
