guy telling me my son

hit another boy.
We were at a bday party at a bounce house play place and some random guy told me my son hit a boy (never have had a problem with him hitting other kids)...UGH!!
what would you do in this situation?
I just told DS not to hit anyone and tell me if someone hits him 1st (which Mason told me thats what happened)
not gonna lie kinda annoyed at the dude who came a tattled on my 4yr old :-/ o well

Pretty sure if I saw some kid hit mine or another, I might mention it to the parent. If my daughter hit someone and I didn't see it I would want to know so I could talk to her about it.

Maybe it was his kid that got hit?
DH gets wicked mad when he sees a kid hit another kid and the parents aren't around or aren't watching them...especially if it's our son that's gotten hit.
Your son could have just gotten excited and been playing, or gotten hit first and the other guy didn't see it. Either way I don't think it's weird that he let you know. I'd definitely want to know if my son was hitting other kids.

I wouldn't be annoyed the Guy told on him, if my kid was being an ass, I would want to know. I would've done exactly what you did.

 

I don't understand why you would be bothered. I would want to know if my son hit someone so I could address the issue with him.

This!!! Cylus punched a kid tonight. like WTH?!?!?! He had to sit out of the fun for a while for it.

Too many people in this world think that their children would NEVER misbehave, and how DARE anyone imply that they would... it's so horribly naive and misguided.

What would I do? I'd watch my kid.

I just was don't really like how he said it cuz he kinda scared my son and he started crying and wanted to leave so kinda ruined the party for us. kids play ruff, i have never had a problem with his behavior so I don't doubt it the kid hit him 1st.. boys will be boys. if i were to see someone hitting someone i would just tell them to knock it off and no hitting and walk away unless it got worse and they didn't listen then i would probably tell a parent.

Yeah, lets be annoyed with the person informing (tattling) that your kid is being a little snot. I'd want to know and correct the behavior. Just because he doesn't do it at home doesn't mean he won't do it period. How about you address the problem instead of being annoyed with the person that told you your son is being a bully? Most kids do it at some time, it's not uncommon.

I would've said thanks for letting me know and then gone over to see what was happening, make sure the other kid was ok and talk to my child about it.

Kids play rough but hitting is different. That doesn't fly with me.
