Getting ready for labour

posted 27th Jan
So I just found out that I am pregnant and I have been getting really worried about labor. My husband thought it would be a great idea to start to get ready for the big push and do everything we can to prevent tearing.

Although he has been slicking me up with oil and I have been doing kegels like crazy I am still worried that it is not enough.

I have asked him to start fisting me to try and stretch out the area. Although we haven't worked his whole fist in there yet we are a good way there and I know in the coming months we will get better and better at it.

Anybody else try this?

Have you had a bad year b4? Mine was 13 stitches and I could barely feel the difference between crowning and tearing.

This is my first and I can seem to talk myself down from the fear. I think I would rather loosen it up than tear it because I am horrified of stitches down there and DH feeling them when we get back into it in the bedroom.

By the time you can have sex the stitches will be gone

even if you did end up having to get stitches you aren't suppose to have sex til after 6 weeks pp so he most likely won't be feeling any stitches...and you really shouldn't be letting anyone stick thier hand in you while pregnant unless it's the end of pregnancy or during labor and it's your doctor because of the risk of infection.

We have thought about that DH washes his hands and then puts on lubed up rubber gloves
