Original Names.

Some really just take the cake. I mean seriously.

I'm all for original names, or not so common ones. Like my daughter was going to be a Sophia, but with how common that name was and still is, we named her Natalie(common but not as common), and when our 3rd came along I don't know what I was thinking, but we named him Malachi. I didn't realized that really no one has that name.

And my SIL is good for original names, her oldest is Davin, which I haven't even seen on the list, and her youngest is Brielle which she named her before it went big.

But there's a woman at my church, I think her name is Fawn. Well she named her daughter Sequoia and I guess going along with the tree theme, named her newest son Cedar.

Wow.

Although that's uncommon, I don't think it's as bad as my husband's cousins. One of his cousins named their daughter Parker Butterfly. Another Serenity Reign.

What are some really unusual ones your friends or family members named their kids?

Lol, reminds me of the 'Friends' episode where Rachel suggests the name 'Sequoia' for her unborn daughter. Lmfao

My distant cousin named her son Jathan. Basically, he'll live his life as Jason with a lisp. Poor, poor child.

i would never name my daughter after an animal , weather , flowers , colors or feelings!! i knew a guy named Storm. I saw on a parent site yesterday where a women wanted to name her daughter Heaven Leigh......really? Oh and Natalie is my name   i didnt go to school with any and i liked that...i have met one maybe two others in my 23 yrs

SO's little cousin is named Cassettia and my niece is Emileigh.

My cousins are Indigo and Sage, my aunt is an artist so she went with a theme.

My cousin has a son named Brahm and a daughter named Nata.

I'm not too keen on either of those lol

A friend of mine is naming her daughter Timberlynn Aspen. I hope she changes her mind.

DH's new work buddy, his kids are named Meighkynli, Rylieann and Bladen.

My brother's ex wife wanted to name their daughter Lyric.

My cousin ripped her a new one. So her name is Mylah.
