Am I the Only One Not a Fan of the Graco Nautilus?

My son just recently broke the 40 lb mark for his 5 point harness convertible booster. So, after getting a whole lot of recommendations for a Graco Nautilus, I bought one. While it is a very nice seat, it doesn't fit my son. It is way too tight in the crotch area and I moved the buckle out as far as I could. Normally, I would just take it back, but I bought it at a store 2 1/2 hrs away. Their policy is that I can only return it to that location, and it wouldn't be worth the $ to take it back at this point. Ugghhh, now what?

Oh no, well that sucks. I'm hoping to get a Nautilus but I've started looking at a britax frontier too.

My son hated his because of the short crotch thing. He cried everytime we used it.

I kept it and forced him to use it, but only for like 6mths, then i switched it out to a high backed booster. H was 5 1/2 by then

I wish I had done more research, but I found it at a surplus store for $80 so - jumped on it. I guess I'll just hang on to it and when he turns 5 in May, I'll use it as a booster. I'm just not ready for that   . I want him in the harness foreverrrrr lol

I have a Nautilus and I hate it. Its super heavy and bulky and even though I drive a full sized Suburban it makes my middle bench seat feel so small!
I wish I did more research first. If I had my way we would have just gotten the Diono Radian RXT. Hopefully with my tax refund I can just splurge and get one for DD so the damn Nautilus can go!

That's a really good price! My son isn't even three yet. We're going to take him to BRU and see which fits him best before we purchase either.

They had one already put together at the store and I wish I had bought it. It was $5 more for some reason, but I could have taken it back to where we were staying and found out right away it wasn't for us.
I just can't understand why they wouldn't have at least one more slot to move it out to. It's made so that the harness can be used up to 65 lbs. My son is 42 lbs, there's no way a kid weighing 60 could even fit
