I didn't even read the small babies part, I apologize. But yes, you are right. I just find them confusing and prefer my wrap

Yeah I had a wrap and I couldn't wrap it right and then we got to hot so I called it quits lol.

Ha! It definitely gets warm. Especially when you're wearing it for 2 hours at a time, multiple times a day.

We currently have a regular Moby but I'm getting their Dolcino series as soon as we get our income tax back (don't want to part with my Moby to fund it lol)

Lol I kept it I bought a sleepy wrap but it was too stretchy perfect for DH to used. Later I got the moby it was a pain and blah I could barely breastfeed in it couldn't figure it out either and last I got the ergo (galaxy). Needless to say DH was like NO MORE!

I'd say there very much is a height limit to the Ergo because not only does it have a really low back it also has a narrow seat so it's not suitable for an older toddler as it doesn't support them knee to knee. My son outgrew being able to fit properly supported at 18-20 months.

Basically to fit properly in the Ergo the base needs to go from knee to knee on the child and height wise needs to go about to their armpits or higher. DD has technically outgrown it (a few months ago and she's almost 2 and 30 pounds) but we still haven't found a toddler carrier DH likes yet, so he still uses it when he wears her. Generally I'm the one who wears her and I use woven wraps which I'm a much bigger fan of.

what about getting him a Wompat preschooler carrier or an Ocah or Opitai full buckle conversion? I have a fairly 'manly' black cord preschool carrier that still fits my big 3 yr old, he's 42 inches and 38 lbs.

Here's the one i mean

It's got really big straps and fits broad shoulders and fits men well.

We tried a toddler KP and he wasn't a fan of it. I'd try a regular non wrap conversion Tula for him, except I'm super anti-Tula, so I'm looking around. I'm kind of thinking of seeing if someone will temp trade me a Bamberoo because I think look wise it resembles the Ergo the most and he really likes how it fits. I want a WC Ocah soooo bad, but I don't want to drop that much on an SSC when I could buy a kick ass wrap for the same price and he doesn't even wear her much.

I'd love a wrap straps half buckle Ocah, i think it would be perfect for us, esp with extra padding on the legs and arms for LO and an elf sleep hood or one with cat ears  . DS is 3.5 though so i'm not sure there's any point for a possible couple of months wearing, they are so pricey and i'm a single mama with no child support so not exactly flush with cash. I made a wrap straps pod that was alright but it wasn't wrap fabric so it could be way better. I've been tempted to chop up a less loved wrap and make one myself but i'm intimidated by buckles, and also scared to take scissors to a wrap.

I feel like we're at the end of our days with wrapping and that makes me sad   There are so many that've come out since DS stopped wanting to be worn 6 months ago or that i never got around to trying. He started wanting to be worn again recently but i keep talking myself out of spending so much money. I just buy pretty fabric instead

Pregnancy has made me churn like a mad woman. I just sold/traded like half of my stash and haven't replaced it all yet so right now it looks really tiny. I'm waiting for the next Oscha release and I have another Didy otw =/ I feel like I need more. I'll be so sad when we're done wrapping and I have to sell everything off   Bright side is I'll have a nice chunk of change when that happens.

Yes you'll have a lot! None of my wraps are very comfy anymore, since he passed 36lbs it's been rough. I think because i didn't wear him for a while i just lost the muscle and stamina for it   I don't have any wraps with linen just now and i think that's what i need for the extra support, he's the size of a 4.5 yr old and it's hard to lug around. I would consider having another baby just so i could get a chance at all the wraps i never got to have
