That's not true. We never locked anything without being asked.

We weren't allowed to do that. We could only lock threads because of a) the original poster requesting it (which still happens, you just have to send the request to Mara), if someone made a threat of physical violence, or in the case of TDC, if a post had been dead for seven days, to prevent people bumping up threads that have been dead for a month, heh.

I guess I should correct or clarify myself whichever is more fitting in this case. I was not on gaga when mods were in place so that is just my experience on other forums.
