While I'm not sure if EVERYONE would be interested in looking at this, a close friend of mine IRL just received her "gestational doll" that she had made for her 19w3d loss & I thought some ladies on here may like the idea.

As I'm sure that would help someone cope, it would make it so much worse for me.  

I think you should have posted this somewhere else. This could be unhelpful for a lot of us and potentially upsetting.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but what exactly is it you do with the dolls? Just keep it put away for sentimental value?

I took a peak I find them creepy BUT that is just me.. they may help some mothers cope

Which is why I didn't attach any pics of said dolls, and why I said I know not EVERYONE would be interested in looking at them.

I would have. If we want to get into technicalities this sub forum is for people who are experiencing or suffering from a loss. She isnt doing that, shes promoting something.

I'm sorry, I figured I'd get crap for posting it there. I'm not trying to "promote" or spam anything. Just wanted to put it out there IF someone would want one.

i see what you're saying. but she might have gotten harsher comments in FFA. i see your reasoning on it, though.

They remind me of Reborn dolls. I'd get one, but probably not of a child that passed away. That would kill me.

I know my friend made a memory box for her daughter, with a small hospital blanket, her death certificate and other little trinkets that now includes the doll. She had hers made because she felt like the very few pictures she got didn't do her angel justice and was afraid she would "forget" all the little details as time passed.
