Touching eyeball.

My 3 year old starting this new thing last night.
He keeps touching his eye balls.

I can't get him to stop and now his eye is all bloodshot.

Has anyone ever had a kid do this?

No, but mine used to stick his finger down his throat to gag himself and then laugh hysterically.

I would just ignore it...he's probably discovered the reaction it gets from you and now that's why he keeps doing it. Mine stopped his behavior when I stopped freaking out about it, lol.

My son also went thru that phase. SO glad it passed.

Yes my DS is 5 and does it constantly. I thought it was a tic or something, but it turned out hi sight wasn't so good. So he was doing it while staring at things for a long time etc... If he is just doing because he likes to, keep redirecting him and ask your pedi about eye drops to help with the red eye and irritation.
