make sure you also explore complex migraines. I had an event when I was talking and all the sudden I had an intense pain in my head. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I had lost my vision and at the same time I couldn't lift my right arm and when I tried to talk my speech was slurred, my tongue felt really thick. They rushed me to the ER and I had CAT scans and MRI's and blood work and I was 100% comvinced that I had a stroke but it was a complex migraine. Scarey as hell!! It hasn't happened again and that was about a year ago but I take a medication for it now

I had a mini stroke when I was 9 months pregnant. It started with a horrible headache right in front of my head. Then I started feeling dizzy and almost an out of body feeling. I went to get a drink and the left side of my face was numb and droopy enough that the water ran out of it. I was numb in my left arm and leg but could still use them. My blood pressure skyrocketed. I went to the hospital by ambulance. It took about half an hour to get to its peak and an hour to wear off.
