Eating during pregnancy
posted 27th Jan
Is four meals a day consisting if brown rice, various beans, and various veggies with tea or water to drink (black tea not green) an okay way to eat all during the last ten weeks? Being sure to mix it up a lot, and a lot of greens. We're trying to majorly save money before the big birth day and this seems to be the only cheap and healthy road to go down..
And some nuts seeds and occasional fruits (well, and lots of bananas) thrown in the mix, but not daily.

Throw in some eggs, too they are pretty cheap in bulk and good protein. Otherwise it should be fine as long as you are still taking your multivitamins.
I was 17 when I had my daughter, I ate Smurffffff. Like seriously, could probably count the amount of fruits and veggies on one hand. Somehow I had a healthy baby lol

With All the Beans and nuts she really doesn't need the eggs at all. Humans don't need that much protein to be healthy.
Op, that's a very healthy diet.

Well too many nuts isen't great, they are very fatty so if she's trying to watch her weight might not be ideal. And if she has cold sores, it will trigger an outbreak.

I watched a documentary about that lol. They interviewed tons of random people and asked why its important to eat animal products, everyone said protein. Come to find that it's very hard to have a protein issue, even if you just get it from your veggies. Wonder why they don't teach that in health class lol. Someone somewhere staying rich is at the root of it I bet.

Protein isen't the only thing meat is good for. It also has minerals (especially rich in iron), selenium which helps breakdown fat and other chemicals in the body and zinc helps in tissue formation and metabolism. Also has vitamins a, b, and d

Humans really don't NEED meat and animal products to be healthy. Everything you get from meat can be gotten from another source. Our family was actually vegetarian until very recently and we only have it once or twice a week now. My son, 6, has chosen to remain so which is fine with me, he's soooo healthy. We only brought meat back into our diets because my husband and I missed it. Lol we were vegetarian for 7 years together and he was for two years before that. I regret bringing meat back into our diet, it's slowed down my metabolism, I have started getting pimples again, and we both have less energy. I don't know how long this will last. The whole family felt better before we brought meat in.
