positive ovulation test twice in one cycle?

Has anyone had a positive ovulation test twice in one cycle and a negative pregnancy test?

Yes, lots of women. It's not uncommon because you have varying levels of LH in your body all the time. You can get enough of a surge to trigger a positive but not actually ovulate as well.

What bunny girl said. But you can also ovulate twice, although its extremely rare. It happened to me with this pregnancy but only one egg was fertilized apparently. I had been using OPKs & temping, both showed I ovulated twice a week apart from eachother which is even more rare since if it happens its within like a 24-48 hour time frame. Then at my first ultrasound my doctor said I had 2 corpus luteum cysts on left ovary & said it was because I ovulated twice.

So the only way to know for sure if you ovulated is basal temp?

No, OPKs are pretty accurate. I've got PCOS which causes hormone imbalances, so I did temping along with OPKs & noticing changes in CM.

hmm I wonder if I actually did ovulate again...that might explain why its taking so long to conceive..
