Molluscum Cantagiosum

Anybody else's toddler have it?

My pediatrician wasn't worried about them at all. My DD has three and we're doing everything not to spread them. Everything I've read, and been told by pedi, says they will go away on their own within 6-18 months. The pediatrician suggested that we let them go away on their own, but we could try Zymaderm, or if they really bother us take her to a dermatologist to have them removed.

If you've dealt with them, did they really go away on their own? Did the cream actually work? Or did you go to the dermatologist?

I'd hate to traumatized me dd by having them frozen off and potentially leave scars if they're just going to go away on their own.

My 5 year old daughter had it at like 3 years old. They were on her upper arm near her shoulder. We left them alone and they left tiny scars. You can't see them very well anymore.

Okay, great. Do you remember how long it took them to go away?

my ex boyfriend had them and actually passed them on to me

We got a liquid from Walgreens that makes them go away and it worked

They never would have went away in their own

A long time. Probably 6 months. I'm not a fan of the ingredients and side effects of the meds they wanted to prescribe.

My 10 year old sister has it. She has been using the cream for about a year now and it's just now getting better.

Zymaderm! That's what we used! We had to get rid of them because those little bastards just kept spreading. The zymaderm worked wonders!

My son had lesions for a year. We tried aldara, zymaderm, nothing worked. I went to a new doc and she told me about a product called MolluscumRx. She swore by it.
After a few dayus the lesions began to respond, by week 3 they were gone. No scaring and the treatment did not hurt my son.
I wish I had met this doc sooner, molluscum is not fun.
I hope this helps.
