He's been talking about getting it cut but he goes back and forth. He's 4, and I'm afraid if we cut it, he's gonna cry and want it back! Plus, I LOVE his hair, it's beautiful!!

If he really wants it cut you could always do a little bit and see how he likes it and go from there. I mean ultimately he is old enough to make that decision. I understand loving his hair, though. He has some really good hair! He is such a handsome little man.

Maybe try a trim at first and slowly work him up to it

Maybe a trim first. Is it heavy?

It may feel better to get it cut if its thick and heavy.

It's so beautiful let it grow! Team long haired boys (both of my sons have never had a haircut).

My son had long hair (just a little longer than your sons) and i recently cut it. It's up to his chin now. He was forever being called a girl and people would stare and whisper about whether he was a girl or not

When he was 2 it was a few inches passed his shoulders and i shaved it (on the longest setting) and it only took 6 months to grow back to the same length again. I remember being sad because i missed being able to stroke it

I would only do it if he was sure and I would tell him that once it's it would take a really long time to grow it back.

Yeh my sister is being a psycho about my nephew saying it's HIS decision to get it cut so until HE is old enough to decide she isen't doing it >.< It's down to his smurfing ass, luscious bright blonde locks and every one calls him a girl no matter what he is wearing, I'm sure that won't have some negative effect on him over the next few years. He's only two now. I'm sorry sis, but you are a PARENT you are SUPPOSE to make decisions for your kid! He is CONSTANTLY slapping his face trying to get the smurf out of his eyes   He won't let you put anything in it, or tie it back either so it's a no win situation all around. He just needs it cut.

Your boy looks like a boy, so that's no a problem, just irks me with my sister lol

Does he say why he wants it cut? I'd corn row it to keep it out of his face and see if that feels better. I know long hair can just feel annoying especially before he gets tucking it behind his ears down.
