"If she has Medicaid, it should cover an ER visit...and they can give her antibiotics and stronger pain meds (like Vicodin or something) until she can get in to see the dentist. I have an abscess tooth and it was causing me a lot of pain during pregnancy, but my dentist didn't want to do a root canal while I was pregnant...so he gave me Amoxicillin, and it made it feel 100% better within a day.
