Anything for a cough?

Is there anything you can give an 11 month old for a really bad cough? He's already on an antibiotic for ear infections but this horrible cough just started. Any advice?

Nope. Too young.

Nope...my 11.5 month old has had a cough since spet, it goes away like once a month for a few days, then comes back.

There is nothing unless you go the homeopathic way....do they have this stuff where you are.

No I've never seen that kind before, I'll have to check the health food store and see if they have that. It'd be great to give him some relief so he can sleep, and breath!

He's too young for the 'natural' cough medicine as well. Those usually start at 12 months.

It says you can buy it at walmart...but IDK if its just canadian walmarts, kwim? They have a whole line from allergies to teethingg to car sick etc....

vick's on the bottom of the feet with socks. also, just yesterday i found a natural cough medicine for infants ages 2 months and up at target. the vicks won't make the cough go away completely, but it drastically helps. i didn't believe it when i read it, but it does. DD is loaded down with baby vicks right now and the cough medicine helps also. i only give her that if the cough is getting a little more rough. she's on antibiotics right now for strep also.

Not this stuff, its 0-9 for nb to 9 yrs old.

I personally gave my daughter childs cough medicine, but just a small dosage. If the dosage for a 2 year old was one tsp, I gave her like a quarter-half of a tsp. They say not to do that, but I figured it couldn't hurt any. And she's still alive, and great!

Ya, thats what the Dr and paharmcies do here, you ask them and they just tell you how much to give.

See when the cough stuff was around for kids that young, they just changed the age and not the ingridents at all, so a dr knows the right dosage.

Ya I was wondering about that because his dr said he could have a small dose of Benadryl to clear his nose, even tho the bottle clearly says no under the age of 6. I have cough medicine for my older one but it says not under the age of 4. I think I'll call the pharmacy and see what the dosage would be for his weight. Thanks everyone!
