what's this on my kid's face?

it's about the size of 2/3rd of a dime
it's about an inch on the left of her mouth
it's a little raised, a little bumpy, doesn't seem to be bothering her
i think it might have appeared yesterday, but was just slightly red then...

DD has the same thing going on, started in the beginning of last week. I thought it was going away but seems it is coming back and now she has another on the other side of her mouth. She has her wellness appt tomorrow and we plan on whatever is causeing this, to be taken care of. we are thinking it is either a cold sore or impetigo.

not necessarily I used to freak my mom out every year cause I still now as an adult get a cold sore once a year and it takes forever to come up and if I mess with it can get infected really easily and get worse and takes forever to heal but thats just me ...other kids I have seen can be the same its hard to encourage a child to not mess with it cause as you said it seems to not bother them or be a big deal at first depending on age you may just have to let it heal if not abreva is my only help and keeping the spot dry if I can but it still takes a week to heal and go away even if it just comes and goes get it checked out tho it could be a bump or she accidentally bit her mouth or a sign of other things if its her first cold sore the dr. can at least tell you how to get her to let it heal on its own

i reread my post, i think i put it badly
it's not on her mouth
it's on her cheek, about one inch away from the corner of her mouth
i'm thinking it's eczema...

ahhh ok
that makes a difference no chance its baby acne? it effects toddlers too also it could be a bug bite if it doesent hurt wash it good and see what happens really if it starts to hurt or comes with other symptoms or has pus or bleeds or hardens etc. it really could be anything and sadly waiting is easier since its not bothering anyone but you and now me I wish I could see it lol

btw, it's definitely just ecsema. it's nearly gone, a little dry. but, definitely not bothering anyone, anymore

No I couldnt but its ok I am glad things were resolved tho and it didnt end up scary or bad at all
I was wondering what had happened with it
