That's how my prelabor started, cramps that I couldn't sleep through they were consistent though.

We are pretty much identical.
I'm pregnant with my third due feb 8...a boy too. I have been experiencing tue exact same thing for a few weeks now though and wasnt sure if it was prodromal labor or what. Ive never been in labor before so I have no idea. Glad to hear its normal
