Maddie is in a no back booster in her mom's car and she doesn't do so hot sitting correctly in it lol but it was the same when she was in the 5 point with her mom, she knows better with us I guess. We already picked out the booster and everything I just keep dragging my feet on buying lol

It's like the next step from not being a little kid anymore

I'm just waiting for winter to be over.

Poor Emma, one of her friends from pre school came home with us and she was in a no back booster and here is Emma still in a 5 point lol
She didn't mind tho

I think that is what I am going to do too. Wait until winter is over, put Maddie into the booster, Charlee into the Nautilus and let my mom used the alpha omega elite (demon seat lol) as her back up seat.

aww! Lol a little girl I watch, 3 years, is in a booster seat and I had to take her to town the other day and put her in the 5 point...she was not amused

not so fast.
here is the florida law: "Every operator of a motor vehicle as defined in this section, while transporting a child in a motor vehicle operated on the roadways, streets, or highways of this state, shall, if the child is 5 years of age or younger, provide for protection of the child by properly using a crash-tested, federally approved child restraint device. For children aged through 3 years, such restraint device must be a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer’s integrated child seat. For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a seat belt may be used.

the sheriff.org link STARTS with the florida law, but then the second para is just sheriff.org, NOT the law

that's in canada, not in the united states
as far as i know, it's not illegal not to rear face

you can say it should be, but as it is, not against any laws.

It doesn't matter what state you live in a 10 month old CAN NOT be forward facing in a booster seat.

here is what i'm saying: there are no states in america that REQUIRE a rear facing seat, for an infant of any age or size
in other words, it is NOT against the law to have your kid front face at age 3 months
maybe it should be, i don't know. i DO know that it is NOT against the law to have your infant in a booster seat, as long as the infant is "restrained"

Yes they do. Your child can't face forward until they are at least 1 yr and 20 lbs and when you do switch them they have to fit the requirement of the seat (they have to be safety restrained). A 10 month old doesn't meet the age or weight requirements for a boost seat.
