Her exact words were "I'm going to be one of those nut jobs who stays because they think their kids deserve a dad".

She's not staying because she's happy.

I can't speak for everyone, but it was one of the hardest things I had/have to do. And it kills me to see him with another girl, but I would never take him back. Not in a million years.

Iv heard alot of women saying that they stayed with their OH's because they didn't want to see them with another woman yeah it's gonna be heartbreakingly hard but if your not happy with him then whats the point.

Not to be a bitch. I'm sorry if this sounds the wrong way but based on what she said her husband cheated on her ONCE. She hasn't gotten over that one time, your ex-husband cheated on many, many occasions with many, many other women. On top of that he was abusive.

I'm sorry but I don't see how your situation and hers compare.

The way I read it, that's the reason why she stayed with him three years ago when he cheated. Doesn't mean she's not happy now or hasn't been happy since.

I left after he cheated. I never looked back either. He has now cheated on his current fiancee and she is a wonderful woman who stays with him in spite of this. Ifeel bad for her but I wish she would get out because it is his chronic issue

Regardless of what I think, or anyone else in this thread thinks, only SHE knows if she's truly happy.

And I never ONCE said our situations are the same, ever... What was brought up was love and happiness.. Those two don't always go hand in hand is my point.

^^ I took this quote as present time... I just don't know how someone could possibly be happy with someone who they deem a liar.

I never said that. I said she said she loves him, which is why I think she's only just hurt for what he did. Then I said, (just because she's still hurting for what he did) it does not mean she's not happy. Which brings out to your first point that she is the only one who knows whether she's happy or not.

Exactly. I just thought you were making a connection between love and happiness, which is why I said what I said.

Like I said, it seems to me like she's still hurt or she still can't trust him. Nothing more. Doesn't mean that the time spent together and their life together is not happy.

Still not ok. We are like strangers living under the same roof. She doesn't really go anywhere, but then again neither do I. I work........ALOT. I don't have time to socialize. I don't know that we'll be together in two day, two weeks, or two years. BUT I think that she realizes that if she even thinks of going out, she'll have that doubt cast upon her. What she did was unforgivable. Any chance at redemption means that she walks a might fine line.

Lol, yeah I wasn't. I've loved and being totally unhappy before. I know that doesn't always work out. My bad if I made it seem like I was trying to put them hand in hand.

This post gonna go on forever and ever and ever and ever......  

I let it happen over and over. Never again, if you cheat, you don't love or deserve me.
