if the rent wasnt so cheap i would be leaving! ive killed 5 mice already and saw 2 more tonight. we have begged for a new bathroom door for almost a year. it was kicked in b4 we even moved in and i cant shut it and my daughter keeps getting into the bathroom. smurfs getting old.

I don't care how cheap rent was, I'd find a new place. Obviously there is a reason why rent is cheap. It's a health hazzard...

Not much you can do about the bathroom door but if the mice are bothering you just call the health dept. That usually will get their asses moving.

Get a cat or a dog bread that's meant for hunting vermin! Usually just the scent of the animals will keep the mice out. Also just get a baby gate and put it in front of the bathroom.

They are just mice. Mice move into warm places during the winter to keep warm. Set traps and kill them :/ try living out in the country!!

And why won't he call pest control or replace the door?

He's a slumlord and it's disgusting you'd let your child live like that just because the rent is cheap

My MIL had a problem with them getting into the attic... But im out of that place now. But she sold it to we buy houses and they fixed it up... Looks nice now.

Ugh, I had the same problem where I used to live. Our rent was dirt cheap but it was INFESTED with mice and roaches, and everything was falling apart. Thank god we moved, the extra $300 a month is so worth it.

For real!!! We have mice in the winter all the time. It is just part of living out so far. Not a big deal, set some traps.

They have to have a leasing license. Find out who it's through and make a complaint. Or just call an exterminator and get a new door.

Yup!! Now if the place were infested with roaches it'd be different....

catnip. Mice hate the smell of catnip. My mice won't evenlet me hold them if I've been playing with the cat because the oil lingers on skin.

its a pretty nice place and the neighboorhood is wonderful. we cant find anything the same level under 500 a month. we pay 375. plus he let us paint and do little upgrades to it. i just wish he would get on the ball

our first apartment pre/child was horrible. it was 425 and back then that was a decent amount for what we were renting. the wiring was soo bad it would over clock the power box. our electric bills were 200 a month summer and about 4 in winter. it was all electric. i am thankful for the place im just annoyed. we pay our rent i just wish he would fix the door. maybe help with traps
