contractions

My nurses keep asking if I'm feeling contractions because it's showing up on the monitor that I'm having some. Problem is that I'm not feeling them. Is that normal? I remember feeling them with my second bad, so I'm a little boggled.

My tummy tightens up and I can't actually feel it, I'll just knock into my stomach or place my hand there and I'll be like whoa. And then like psychosomatic's, I'll start feeling cramps lol. I think it's normal I've read on here women who say the same thing they're monitored and don't feel anything.
