awful cough in my 6 mo old

My poor baby has a pretty bad cough .. does anyone know what I can do for it? She is 6 months old. I been giving her Tylenol and suctioning her nose as well as doing the hot shower steam room every so often but what can i do for the cough? (Already took her in yesterday .. says congestion, cough, fever and maybe a slight respiratory infection from the congestion, any suggestions?

i may be wrong but i think they should have given you some antibiotics. the only other thing i can think is a humidifier...

Nope they sent me home telling me to give her Tylenol .. I am thinking about taking her somewhere else and getting a second opinion
