That's cute. Swaddling still works for her at 8 months? My DD flails around and kicks if a blanket even touches her.

somehow i missed where you said the idea scared you, scared me too! i was completely against it. it wasn't till i had fallen asleep from exhaustion while laying in bed with her a few times. one time i woke up and she had turned her face away from me because i got to close. she had head control when she was born so i knew her body would wake enough to turn her head if she got blocked.

is that surprising? what's the norm for stopping? lol. we have several throw blankets and DH has swaddled her since birth (i never mastered it for when she became wiggly. she always finds a way out now). oddly, we swaddled her until about 1 month, then she kept falling asleep sprawled out in her bed so we stopped. around 3-4 months, she started fighting sleep. so we tried rito-ing her so she couldn't throw herself back, smack us, or claw our face. she falls asleep quicker, deeper, and longer.

Oh no, I dunno. Haha. I just associate it with little infants cause my memory of it is the nurses showing me how to swaddle her after she was born. I wish it worked for us, at this point only nursing gets her to sleep.

Yeah, I would fall asleep sitting up nursing cause she was up at all hours of the night. So co-sleeping got me a couple more hours of sleep.

Our DDs are really close in age, I'm gonna parent tank you if you don't mind.
