What's your thought on...

Having roommates when you have children? I find it odd... I know it's cheap and all. I couldn't do it though I'd rather live in a studio. To me that's conflicting because when there are children there are boundaries, and I know single people do not like boundaries. What do you think? Just random thinking, I can't sleep.

I'd only roomate with someone whom I knew, had children and our children got along. I wouldn't roomate with a child free person.

I think for me it'd depend on who the roommate was?
When i was 19 and my son was 2ish/3, we almost got a place with my friend.
But..i'd known her for 10 years, she was super mellow (didn't party/didn't even date, ha) , worked at his school, etc etc.

So, i don't know.

I think living with anyone besides your SO while you have kids is asking for trouble

I could not do it. It's way too uncomfortable bc kids make noise and destroy stuff. I don't like walking on egg shells.

If the roommate's cool, it's cool.

I lived with one friend and it didn't work out, one friend and it did, one stranger and it SUPER did not, one stranger and it did, and i'm currently living with my sister and her roommate. I don't mind living with my sis but I smurfing hate her roommate.

My daughter was 3 though when we first got roommates. I would avoid living with someone with a baby if possible.

My SO wanted to move in with our friends of 2 years. They smoke pot which I don't mind if its outside, but the thought of a dealer coming by to drop it off is a big red flag. And they just aren't that responsible with money. I know they wouldn't stiff us but I don't want to pick up someone else's slack when I have a 3 month old. Idk how others do it! And if it ever really can work!

Even then I would probly go crazy! Lol roommates have never worked for me

No. one was a friend of a friend and I knew her in hs, but not well. and one was my boyfriend's roommate of over a year.

Before I settled down I moved in with a stranger renting a room. BIG mistake lol she was psycho!!!
