Lol, well I've never had a roomate before. We've had friends stay with DH and I for a couple of week, months while their home was getting fixed, renovated etc. and it wasn't bad at all. I could see myself being roomates with one of them.

That's what I'd be afraid of. My bff ditched me to go to a different university so I tried finding a roomate but ended up living alone because of that reason.

Honestly it would depend on the person and the only way I would do it is if I had no other choice. Ive had tons of family and friends live with us over the years. Every single time has been because we felt bad for the person because they had no one else and nowhere to go. Or they got evicted and we couldnt let their kids be put out on the streets just because their parents couldnt put down the smurfing pipe, get a job, and pay their damn bills. Out of all the times we have had people stay with us it has only ever worked out once. So unless it was a necessity I wouldnt do it again.

It was probly a blessing in disguise lol

I had a roommate for a few days in college and I swore I'd never have another, period. Adding kids to the mix sounds awful.

IDK...I know tons of single parents who roomate with others and have for years. I dont see what the issue is at all.

I could never do it personally, unless it was my one friend who has a 7 yr old, but thats cause she is exactly like me, and is a clean freak and cleans till 3am, cause she cant sleep knowing there is a mess in the house. lol
