She is his wife it is her job to be there for him and support him in anyway she can and vs versa. OPs mom sounds just like my mamal. My papal got very sick when I was about 10 and he was to the point that he was pretty much mentally a 2 yo. As time went by he came back to himself mentally but he still needed her to be there to support him with his health issues. The year before he passed away I was checking up on him while my mamal was at work and I ended up having to call 911 for him. My mamal got home and cussed me out big time for calling 911 and calling her home from work. The doctors told her he HAD to quit smoking because if he did he might live another 5-10 years but if he didnt he would be lucky to see out another year. At first my mamal got him to quit but then she got tired of having to smoke outside so she started smoking around him again (which is another thing the doctor said was a huge no no) and let him start smoking again less then a year later on my 21st bday no less my papal died. If my mamal had done what she was supposed to and supported my papal and helped him take care of his health there is every chance he could have still been alive to this day. So yes OPs father is a grown man and yes he is capable of doing things on his own but everyone needs someone to be there to help them sometimes. And as his wife she should be the one to do it after all this is his HEALTH we are talking about not something trivial.

Seriously so easy! I boiled the noodles and threw the veggies in a pan with a little olive oil, dumped the cooked noodles in and poured soy over it to taste. Whole wheat noodles would have made it better. But I had regular on hand.

I try to eat healthier and I've been trying to give the baby healthy foods. Right now, he's not a big fan of veggies, but I still offer them and if he eats them he eats them. He seems to like fruits more, just like mom, so I give him those more often. Today for lunch he had ham and cream cheese rolls, fresh grapefruit and cheese crackers. Then for dinner I gave him some green beans, he chewed them a bit but didn't really eat them, then some homemade chicken parmesan bake I made.

I honestly am not huge on most of the veggies but it was surprisingly not bad.

I'm sorry about your parents. Your mom doesn't sound supportive at all. I know how hard it is to eat healthy while smelling DH's Wendy's. I hope he finds what he's looking for and can do it alone. It's rough though. Maybe your mom will come around.

Ehh I highly doubt it. When I was a kid she told me to eat salads instead of what ever everybody else was eating.
