Switching to toddler bed before new baby

I have 14 month old and am expecting in September.. When is a good time to switch to a toddler bed before baby comes??

I switched DD to a twin bed around 15/16 months. It takes time for them to adjust, so I'd do it as soon as possible.

I would say wait as long as possible... I switched DD at Christmas... Almost 21 months for new baby that will be here end of Feb. it worked but it was easier with my son..who we moved to a toddler bed at 23 months

I moved my son into a single bed at 14 months, it only took a day for him to adjust and I am so happy I did it early, now he has a big boy room ans the baby is due in a month  

We switched DS when we moved which was when he was about 16 months. His brother was born a month and a half later. It took DS1 3 months or so to sleep in his bed in his room. He still wakes up at some point at night and comes in our room though but we think it is early morning like 6am when he does it. He will be 2 on the 3rd.

My only concern is Emalynn moves all over her crib now.. Hope she does fall out of bed to many times lol

That's why you get guard rails for the sides.
