Found a husky

posted 26th Jan
We Found a husky today she looks to be about 1 years old. She is shedding alot and she looks like she had at one point gotten shaved. She is very friendly and great with my kids. She almost got hit by a car so i got her and i took her to petsmart to see if she had a microchip. Well she did and i called the number. The called the owners but no response. Now i have her in my house and waiting to see if her owners claim her. I looked around the place where i found her but no luck and asked around no one knows where she came from. If her owners dont claim her i will keep her. The thing is i have 3 small dogs. One of them is okay with her plays with her. The second which is my older chi keeps growling at her both arent fixed. And the third is a boy chi and he is fixed and when i ty and introduce them he acts like he is being attacked. Help how do i get them to all be ok? i know it will take days for them to get used to her. She doesnt bark our bite them she is very calm.

Pall I can say is be careful! You don't know this dog, don't trust her with your children or your other dogs. Huskys have a very high prey drive and have been known to go after small children and small animals. And that is supposed to say "All I can say...". Stupid iPad won't let me go back and fix it :/

She is a puppy and very very friendly. I know i don't know her but i am pretty sure she won't do anything. We have had her for about 5 hours and she hasn;t givin us a reason to be afraid of her.

You have only known her for 5 hours. I'm sure she is friendly, but that doesn't take away a prey drive...especially with a chi that is acting
Ike she is killing him. Just a warning from one pet lover/rescuer to another. My fosters aren't trusted until they prove to me they are trustworthy, and that takes time.

You need to give the dogs time to get to know each other.

Our mini pincher HATED our husky when we brought her home. She wouldn't want her anywhere near her.
She would attack the husky. Now, they're best friends.
