Car Seat

posted 26th Jan
I know there are about a million posts on car seats, but......

My daughter is 4 and a half, 40 inches, and 30 pounds. Is she too small for one of the highback booster seats? She has 2 different car seats and one of them is a complete pain, so I want to get her something else for that car, so I was wondering what would be the best route. So, what do you recommend?

Wow, tiny little lady! I think it is different by state, but here, to use the regular seatbelt with a booster, it is 4 and 40 lbs.

If you can afford it, a Radian would be perfect. And she could still rearface if you wanted.

I would go with a Graco Nautilus. It harnesses to 65lbs and can turn into a high back booster, then back less. She is way to tiny to not be harnessed.

She rearfaced until she was 2.5.... I couldn't change her now, without her having a fit because she likes to see where we are going.

Still, a Radian can be a booster seat until she reaches 120 pounds.

Yeah I was wanting her still harnessed, I think she would not wear a seatbelt properly in a booster. And it would ease my mind knowing she was still in a harness.

Oops, I meant she can be harnessed in one until 80 pounds. Then it can be used as a booster until 120 pounds.

Most high-back boosters start at 34 inches. I was just looking at them last week.

I would get one with a harness that is high back and can turn into the backless booster.

It wouldn't be worth the $250+ for that seat if you're not going to RF.

The Britax Frontier 85 harnesses to 85lbs, high back booster to 120lbs and has the highest harness height on the market and is cheaper.

She has a Graco MyRide65 which is her good carseat that she really likes, so I will look at this one too.

This is the website I'm getting DD's from. It's the cheapest I've found them.
