Its been a while since I have shopped for a convertible seat, I am in the market to buy two. Any good suggestions. I drive a 97 subaru legacy and will need one of the seats to RF and I don't have a LATCH system.

I had a Graco Comfortsport convertible that I liked a lot. It lasted my son from about 7 months to age 4 when he went over the weight limit (40 lbs).

well... I am a big fan of the Safety First Complete Air (the one Rocco was in during our accident)

I also like the one we have now (Graco Nautilus), it's not super bulky or anything.

I have found, with my kids at least, the ones with the pillows for "comfort" like this one has, bends their neck at a weird angle and almost forces their head onto their chin, so my recommendation is to get one without that.

But we just have the evenflo tribute, it is inexpensive but seems sturdy, but only goes up to 40 lbs.

This is what we have. I really love it! Although it was not fun to RF, we have been using this seat since Grey was six months old.

If M isn't rear facing I'd get her a combination seat like a Frontier or a Nautilus. A convertible for her wouldn't be the best choice only because no convertible seat on the market actually makes a good booster. Frontier or Nauti (or other combination seats) would keep her harnessed for a long time and then convert to a usable booster when she's done being harnessed. I don't know much about the seat you linked, but the Graco MySize70/Size4Me70/Headwise (all the same seat with different names) will last the longest RFing by height out of all the seats on the market, but only lasts til 40 pounds RFing. Radians and the Peg Perego convertible will last until 45 pounds RFing. Radian is a little taller than the Peg, but I chose the Peg over the Radian because I thought the features on it were much nicer, and I still think it'll get us RFing as long as we'd like. The Foonf will last until 50 pounds RFing, but has a strict 43 inch standing height limit, so you probably won't rear face until 50 pounds with it unless you have short, super fluffy babies. It's also crazy expensive and IMO overpriced for the height restriction. Oh, and there's a Chicco convertible coming out in a few months that looks super awesome, and is probably what we'll get for squish once she moves out of the infant seat. So um, wow, I didn't mean to type that much.

tl;dr I'd get a Graco MySize70/Size4Me70/Headwise for P and a Nautilus or Frontier for M.

She really wants a matching seat to P >.< But yeah I turned her @ 3...maybe I will check it out though. Its going to be a WHILE until she is in a booster though, she is 32 lbs at this point.

I totally didn't even think about it but little P. She is 16lbs already at 4m. Are there any seats that RF longer now?

Yeah, sorry that was kind of a ton of words   Is P tall or just chubby? I think she's still too small for the Foonf. I *think* it has a 20 pound minimum for RFing, but you'd have to double check that. I super love our Peg, but honestly if I had to buy again I'd spend half the amount I spent on it and get the MySize70 since generally seats are outgrown by height before weight. (When I was shopping for convertibles there was a height restriction on the seat which deterred me. Right after I dropped almost $350 on a Peg, they changed the height limit to within an inch of the top of the headrest in its highest position

Also FWIW, Clementine was a chunk, too and her weight gain slowed down dramatically. She was 25 pounds at 1 and now she's pushing 30 and she'll be 2 in a week.
