To be honest, I'd prefer something with a coloured stone as opposed to diamonds, and I don't want a real ring lol. I just want something relatively cheap. As long as it sparkles, I'm happy

See that's reasonable. I dont think the whole "three months wages" (or is it one months? I can't remember) is a good idea. I wouldn't want to spend that amount of money of a piece of jewellery that in all reality could easily go missing, especially with LOs around. Plus I'm really bad with losing stuff lol. I told him I'd be happy with a $100 ring and he looked completely scandalized. I think it's more of a guy thing to want to buy the expensive ring.
