I had one but never needed to use it as we just cosleep. If you have a reason for not being able to cosleep safely then i would get one. But then again, it's not much different to having a bassinet beside your bed or side carring a crib as the Arms Reach doesn't actually put your baby on the same level as your bed and there's a big lip between them, it's not once smooth surface with your bed like i hoped it would be.

I love the pockets all around it for storing things, the fact it's portable and that it can be used as a toddler bed, but all those needs can be met with other products.
If possible i'd just cosleep, it is tons easier and saves all the space aswel.

I already co sleep with my 2 year old and 6 month old lol. the 2 year old is getting a toddler bed, but the month old will still be in bed so I'd really like to have some space and safely by having baby next to me without in the bed

It's not really any different to having a bassinet beside the bed. I was very disappointed in mine. My son was a high needs baby and would only sleep in bed beside me on a proper mattress. The Arms Reach is like a pack n play in terms of size, structure and the mattress. The Arms Reach has the baby on a different level to your bed and there's a 6 inch drop/wall that seperates them, so it's not like you can just roll over and nurse them in it, i found i had to sit up/get out of bed to pick him up and put him back again, so that defeated the purpose to me. I used it as a changing mat, for storage and to catch him if he rolled out of basically. Once i discovered the foam bed guards i got rid of the Arms Reach. I'm in the UK though and i think they cost a lot more here. I had the full size universal that was around $350 in 2009. They do the smaller version now but i don't think that can be used for long or as a toddler bed. So it's basically a deceptive overpriced bassinet.

My friends just pulled a crib up to the side of their bed, made much more sense and some of them fitted much better.

well that sucks then :/. I had the rock n cradle for my daughter and she hated it. so that was a waste of money. I did the crib against the bed with my now 2 year old with him and he would not sleep in it lol. I will be putting my son's toddler bed in my room so having a crib too would be too much. My daughter has her own room, but it is upstairs so I don't ever use it lol. I just know with 2 co sleeping with my husband and I there is no way we can bring another in the bed, we just wont fit. My son will be moved out by then, but my daughter who will be one will most likely still be in bed with us. I just want to not be in fetal position all night getting kicked in the face and back lol

ya that's a lot of babies to accommodate  . How about your husband sleeping in a big bed with the older ones and you cosleeping with the 1 year old on one side and the newb on your other?

The universal arms reach is big. Your newb might be a 'good' sleeper and might be happy to be in a small bassinet? If you had a bassinet on a low frame it would be the same as the arms reach but cheaper and take up less space. I just wouldn't commit to anything expensive at this point because you have lots of little people with changing needs so you won't know what works best till you're doing it.

I might be able to put my 1 year old in something else next to the bed and have the newbie in bed. I hate kicking the others out, but it is becoming time anyhow. my son will be 3 1/2 by then so he will have his own bed. I think with him out I can do the 2 littles in bed and it will be fine. was really hoping the arms reach was awesome. im disappointed lol
