There are people commenting on new stories saying that she is going to ruin the province, and drive it into the ground.

Personally, I think she did a great job as Minister of Education! She was fiscally responsible, brought in new and innovative ideas. I can't wait to see what she is going to do!

Born and raised Canadian, lived in France for a while and can't bring myself to change my location back to Canada haha.

Oh okay because I was going to say if you actually live in Canada you should visit Vancouver sometime. We have a huge gay population and people here are very open minded for the most part. I see same sex couples walking down the streets holding hands and kissing on a daily basis.

I'm in Halifax, and in the Martitimes, I have lots of gay friends who are accepted by the majority of people I know. In Halifax, there's a huge gay pride parade every summer which is actually a really fun time. Not saying things are perfect by any means, but I never hear about people getting so up in arms, and I can't imagine people reacting so negatively to an elected politician being LGBTQ in my neck of the woods, KWIM?
