I much prefer Zoe. Zooey makes me think of.. well.. the zoo.

I just feel that ZOO-ey is not right, unless there's a reasoning behind it?

this made me giggle

i add -ey and -ish to a lot of words to describe what i mean. This just sounds like you're trying to describe something thats, well, zoo-ey.

Zoe Jane as PP suggested go well together. Why not pick a middle name with meaning? a family members name or a favourite thing/place (if there is something that doesn't sound stupid).
