What Birth Control do you recommend?

posted 26th Jan
I NEED to find a BC to go on ASAP. The pill is out though because I got pregnant on it, and recently found out i'm allergic to it.

Which Birth Control worked best for you? And which BC's did you get pregnant on?

I was on depo for six years with no noticable side effects, and got pregnant 8 months after it ran out   I'd recommend it

I loved the patch when I used it. I lost weight, it made my boobs huge and it regulated my periods very well. I loved it!

I got pregnant off of the NuvaRing. I'm more than certain I used it right (everyone keeps trying to tell me I was using it wrong lol).

Depo- Worked great but gained a lot of weight
Patch- Great! Loved it
NuvaRing-Never had a problem with it. Had it for 3 months but wanted something more long term
Nexplanon(implanon)-Have had it for 2 months and LOVE IT. Couldnt be happier. No issues right off the bat.

I had one shot of depo and had my period for 56 STRAIGHT days! I even took pills to stop me from bleeding, but they didn't help. My period is now irregular because of it.

I am currently on the Paragard IUD and haven't had any side effects in the 4 months that I have had it. However, I have had issues with bleeding since I got it so I am having it removed in a week. Before that I was on the Depo and the whole 3 months I was on it had nothing but HORRIBLE side effects. I ended up going on the Paragard instead of getting the second shot. Now I am hoping to go back on the pill but due to health issues I don't know if that will be possible. If not , I am thinking about getting a diaphragm.

its a small rod the size of a matchstick inserted into your arm. It stays in and protects your for 3 years. After 3 years u can get it removed or get another one inserted. And of course it can be removed at any time.
