New York State WIC question...helpp!

My LO is 6 weeks old today. Since birth, he's been on Enfamil Premium Infant formula, but it's caused constipation and EXTREMELY bad spit up. He pukes just about every feeding , and sometimes it's alot. He seems to have alot of discomfort and he only poops once every 1.5 days. And when he does poop, he cries. I'm on the WIC program, and am thinking of switching him to Enfamil AR for spit up because I heard it works wonder for spit up and reflux.
Does WIC cover this formula and will I need to get a prescription from my doctor in order to still get it through WIC?

WIC requires you to have a doctors note sent over from your pedi requesting the formula change. Ours asked for any unused formula back if we had any, they do it by the honor system though, so if all your formula is gone they won't harass you. We had the note faxed over, turned our last can in and got new checks that afternoon, when we switched from gentlease to AR.

in NC the asnwer to your questions is yes and yes my LO was on AR
