Prayers for my sister *UPDATED*

My sister is 34 weeks pregnant and today is the she will be having her baby he has been trying to come for a few months now, he is only about 4 1/2 and he will be in NICU, please pray for my sister and her son.

Ryan has decided he is quiet not ready to come out, he has been trying to all week though, so hopefully he will make it til after the baby shower or maybe he will make it close to his due date

They broke her water so Ryan will be here tonight!

I had a baby at 34 wks and weighed a little less than that. She is fine with no long term problems. she left the hospital after only 6 days. boys develope a little slower so he may be there for a few weeks. However, the possibility for long term effects drops to nearly none at 34 wks. with a little time everything should be fine. Good luck and I'll be praying for them.

One of my best friend's dds was born around 34 weeks too. She was about 4 lbs. When I first saw her her head was the size of my fist and she was a foot long or less. She's 12 now and absolutely perfect. Congratulations on your new nephew.

Prayers for you sister and your nephew

Hopefully her little man will stay put a little longer! I had my 3rd son at 33 weeks after my OB ignored my obvious pre-e for weeks. I went in with a headache at 32 weeks and had a BP of 230/119. I was given the steroids for his lungs and kept there for a few days. Day after I got out of L&D I went back into my OB to be checked and even with BP and seizure meds my BP was still over 200. Put on bed rest and had a placental abruption the next morning. I lost half my blood before getting to the hospital. Had an emergency c-section and my baby didn't breathe for 7 minutes. He was flown to a NICU an hour away and they said not to expect him home for months. Even after all the trauma he went through at birth, he came home after 2 weeks and 5 days! He weighed 4.6 at birth and 5lbs the day he came home. He can't speak yet but is learning to sign and he is the smartest little boy ever! I'll keep your sister and nephew in my prayers and please keep us updated! Some little boys are hard headed and just want out! LOL

My sister has been on Bedrest since 20 something weeks and will be til she has him. They said if he gets to 5lbs he won't have to be on an incubator

Don't worry girl! Keep calm and try to get your sister to stay calm too. Did she get the steroid shots for his lungs? Even with the trauma of my sons birth he was breathing on his own the next day. Most hospitals will let babies come home even if under 5lbs as long as they are doing good and you have a premie carseat that starts at 4lbs. As long as she's had the shots, the only problems he may have is needing a little o2 for a day and possible trouble learning to suck. I'll say a prayer for your family tonight! Make sure you update!

I'm not sure I am not there cause I have no way to get there, she did not get and epidural and his head is almost out
