Quoting Mayhem.:" I think that'd be childish and stupid, they need preparation ahead of time for a water birth, I'm sure. Find a different birthing center or have a home birth."
Quoting 3+1=4:" I really want a water birth but the hospitals near us dont offer them and the hospital I would be going ... [snip!] ... size as the ones in the local natural birthing center what do you think would happen if I just refused to get out of it? :/"how the hell do you know they will lie to you to get one?? WTF? that's a pretty big accusation.
Quoting Devil Duckie:" how the hell do you know they will lie to you to get one?? WTF? that's a pretty big accusation. With ... [snip!] ... to pick your ass up and put you where they need you. YOu sound like you've been listening to a lot of lies and BS yourself. "
Quoting 3+1=4:" They did with my daughter when I got there I was a 4 they told me if I didnt get the epi right then ... [snip!] ... didnt know that at the time) but now doing birth photographer at the same hospital I've seen them get some up to freakin 8cm."
Quoting Smokey_Taboo:" They would make you get out the tub once you are 10cm, you can spend all the time in world before then ... [snip!] ... your vagina.. If you want a water birth, why not birth your baby at home? that way you dont have to lie to get what you want. "
Quoting Devil Duckie:" oh, for smurf sake! you're an idiot! Go to a birth center if you're so smurfing afraid of the big bad epidural. "
Quoting Devil Duckie:" oh, for smurf sake! you're an idiot! Go to a birth center if you're so smurfing afraid of the big bad epidural. "Our hospitals here are pro-epi (come in every 10-15 minutes to ask if you want one and that you nkow if you can't handle the pain or be more quiet then you need to get one) and they are pro c-sections and frown upon vbacs.
Quoting 3+1=4:" I would love to but DH doesnt want to do a home birth incase something goes wrong we are 20mins from the hospital."
Quoting Smokey_Taboo:" 20mins isnt that far away you can talk to a midwife alot of midwifes have a really great relationship ... [snip!] ... then I would just pick a different birthing option. If your pregnancy is a healthy low-risk pregnancy then you can do that. "
Quoting 3+1=4:" I'm all for home births I want one more then anything! This is our last and I have tried talking DH ... [snip!] ... I didnt have one with my DD didnt know nearly as much as I do now. I had no problems with DD it was a very fast easy labor."you know birth plans do get blown out too. Even if it is in your chart sometimes they won't go by them.
